If your looking for a good april’s fools joke. Then one of the best pranks going this year is spoofcard. If you want to get your friend really good with a fake caller id. Here is some great ideas to get your friends going while spoofing your called id.

Call one friend and record the call. Then use a sound editor to cut out parts of the conversation when you friend is talking. Try to keep them on as long as possible as you have more to work with. Then start making your sound board. See if you can get them going off on some really random stuff. Then make wav files like hello.wav hi.wav laughing.wav what.wav etc. I’m you sure you get the point and see where this is going. Now the friend you just recorded is going to have another good friend that will no doubt answer when you spoof the caller id number. They won’t even second guess its not them. Now you can use your sound board and start making your other friend sound like a total weirdo. Even just saying hello, then playing some laughing will get them going. They may just think there friend took a little to many drugs that night. Then call your friend back and ask them what they hell they were on.

Now even that smart friend that you can never get won’t even know what the hell is going on. If you really want to make it interesting. Make both friends into sound boards and then call each other. This will just add to the confusion.

I just got a Skype out number and was pretty happy for about a whole 15 minutes untill i found out that when i call people the number would still show up as 12345678, yes i know it looks pretty damn professional calling a business and asking them about a product you want to order. No doubt they will think the next thing your going to say is your on vacation in nigeria and need them to send a package… But will they take your american credit card. So i did some more searching online and found out what i thought said that it was now offered and you could change it. A post on skye’s site called “Caller identification for SkypeOut now available for some countries” That post went on to talk about where to go and what to change. I kept going into my setup menu and seen the tab but i could not see anything to change. While reading lots of blog comments down the bottom i found out that it was just a waste of time and they don’t even list the countries that its not offered for. So yeah USA is not on the list. I am not really mad since skype is a pretty awesome service but it would be nice since 9 out of 10 people won’t answer a call without the caller id showing. I am guessing this may have something to do with VOIP and 911 access but who knows. I guess we will find out soon enough. But in skypes case they could atleast put in bold letters when you pay for your number that it will not display as your caller id.
